This is a short list of Requirements to enter the Philippines. We recommend you to check also following links (Buttons) but also get in contact with your Philippine Embassy / Consulate BEFORE you travel to the Philippines.
Regulations on entry change frequently with the pandemic situation. Please check the website of the government of the Philippines for additional information.
Please carefully read the following advisories and don’t hesitate to contact SYKE Travel & Tours if you have any queries. The following information was updated on November 15, 2022.
Entry is subject to the following requirements:
A person is considered to be fully vaccinated (depending on the vaccine, single or double vaccination at least 14 days before departure) if he or she presents proof of a full vaccination in the Philippines or a foreign vaccination certificate recognised in the Philippines. Vaccination certificates in the form of the yellow WHO vaccination book or the Digital COVID Certificate of the EU are accepted. Cross-vaccinations are accepted. A simple vaccination after an infection is not sufficient, but must be supplemented by a booster vaccination in order to be considered fully vaccinated in the Philippines.
Unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated travellers over 15 years of age and unaccompanied minors under 15 years of age must present a negative official antigen test in English (self-test is not sufficient), not older than 24 hours before departure.
Unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated travellers over 15 years of age and unaccompanied minors under 15 years of age who do not have a negative antigen test prior to departure must have it done upon arrival at the airport.
Unvaccinated minors under the age of 15 are subject to the requirements for their accompanying parents.
Travellers who test positive on arrival are subject to the quarantine regulations of the Ministry of Health.
Registration via the “eTravel Portal” is required prior to entry. Proof in the form of a QR code should be presented to the airlines at check-in.
Further information can be obtained from the Philippine Embassy.
Information on any requirements for air travel can be obtained from the individual airlines.
Quarantine measures vary from region to region. Currently, a low quarantine level applies with few restrictions on movement. Municipalities can tighten these restrictions on their own.
Transport links between the country’s islands have been resumed, but may be reinstated at any time at short notice. Travelling between the provinces is possible, but the regulations vary greatly. In some cases, health certificates, a negative PCR or antigen test or proof of vaccination must be presented.
The tourist infrastructure is limited, some hotels and resorts are still closed.
Masks are compulsory in public areas, on public transport and in medical and care facilities. Keep your distance from large crowds.
Recommendations:
The Philippines is a tropical island. It has only two seasons: the wet and dry season. Of course, with the thousands of islands to discover, such as Cebu and Palawan, a summery feeling is a requirement for the best trip to this gem in the Pacific. The dry season starts in late November and ends in May. The rainy seasons starts in June and lasts till October. September and October are often the typhoon season in the Philippines.
Although foreign visitors think that it is always summer in the Philippines, the Filipinos think and feel summer in April and May – the hottest months in the Philippines. The sky is at its bluest and the water at its clearest during this time of the year. During these months Tours on Cebu are amazing and Island Hoping Tours are spectacular. If you are visiting Philippines in other months, private city tours and local home-cooked dinners are some great ways to explore the beauty and local lifestyle of this country. Whatever weather it is, we still can provide you an enjoyable stay in the Philippines. Our team from SYKE Travel & Tours helps you to find always a pleasant activity for any kind of weather.
